Measure
Definition
A measure is a staff marked by vertical bar lines, organized into units, and typically annotated with a time signature. A music notation example may consist of one more more measures.

Measures are also known as bars; the two terms are used interchangeably across the world depending on culture (US vs. UK, for example), musical styles (jazz, classical, blues, etc.), and current convention. See "barline" and the Wikipedia link. Note the clef, the number of measures/bars in an example, and any other characteristics, such as double bar lines, repeats, and ancrusis (pickup bars).
