Level 2 Category
Definition
A simple statistical chart where each data point is represented by a dot along an axis. It is often used to show frequency distributions or small datasets, making patterns and clusters easier to see.

Writing Alternative Text
Describe the variables, the placement and density of the dots, and any notable clusters, gaps, or differences between groups or values.
Example Alt Text
"Three flow cytometry dot plots compare marker signals. The first plots CD5 PE-Cy55 against CD19 PE-Cy7, with dense clusters in the upper left and lower right. The second plots Lambda PE against Kappa FITC, with an upper-left cluster and a dense lower-right cluster. The third plots CD10 APC against CD20 V450, with two dense lower clusters and sparse points above."
